5 Tips for Sending Holiday Emails to Your Fans
If you would like to engage your fans and boost your sales over the Holidays check this out…
Since 20% of all music sales happen in the last six weeks of the year, it is critical for all musicians to have a game plan during this time so you can successfully boost your music sales.
The question is…how do you make your emails stand apart from the rest? Here are some tips to help your emails stand out from the crowd.
1) Provide an updated design templates for the Holidays
Refresh your template to include a theme that will keep your fans in the Holiday spirit (and hopefully in the shopping spirit too).
2) Provide a special offer for a limited time
Provide a sale on your CD’s and band merchandise. Try ending your promotion on Christmas or New Years Eve or do your own Black Friday sale after Thanksgiving. Your fans should get a very noticeable discount e.g. two for the price of one… if they act fast.
3) Don’t only focus on your latest releases
Music you put out in the past will still be new to someone. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to cross-sell, up-sell or down-sell your music or merchandise to your customers.
4) Send out more than one email
It’s ok to contact your fans more than once. People are busy so they might not get around to open your earlier emails. Repetitive contact can be best if done correctly. Don’t just keep sending the same email over to your fans. Give them a reason to open your emails and make it worth their while.
5) Provide a free gift to your fans
Always thank your fans for supporting your music, and show them your appreciation with a free gift on occasion e.g. provide a free holiday song download.
