Google Streamlines Concert and Ticket Searches

It’s going to be easier to find concert information and music tickets at Google. They recently announced code-improvements to how event listings and official music ticket links are displayed in search results.

Ticketmaster is already benefiitng from Google’s markup (HTML code) since ambigous search results e.g. “Ariana Grande tour” can now provide relevant local information.

The push for enhanced music isearch results from Google’s Knowledge Graph search technology, that attemps to better understand a users interests.  Instead of returning search results closest to words typed in the search engine, Google anticipates the kind of information the user wants.  The Knowledge Graph includes social media links for celebrities, politicians, and most recently brands.
