The John Lennon Songwriting Contest

The John Lennon Songwriting Contest is an international songwriting contest that is open to amateur and professional songwriters.  Session II is open and they are accepting original songs now.

Entry Deadline is: December 15, 2014

You can submit entries in any one of 12 categories.

There are some amazing judges this year…George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Natasha Bedingfield, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, Bob Weir a founding member of the Grateful Dead, Sheila E, Sean Paul, The Veronicas, Nathan East, The Bacon Brothers…and more.

What’s unique about this contest is:

1) The JLSC is open year-round with two Sessions– with 72 Finalist, 24 Grand Prize Winners, 12 Lennon Award Winners and 1 “Song of the Year”.

2) You don’t need a professional recording– Entries are judged on originality, composition, melody, and lyrics (when applicable).

The biggest prize package is being given away this year and it totals over $300,000!
