Ways to Make Money Off of Your Next Live Show

Musicians know its important to get music exposure if you want to make it in the music business long term.  Many musicians are already playing live shows but may not be thinking strategically about how to really make more money to support their music.

Here are some ways to generate more income from your live show.

Donations

You can ask for a set donation from fans or pass-the-hat for your fans to donate any amount they are able to.

CD Sales

Give fans the motivation to buy your music at your show NOW instead of sending them to buy from itunes, Spotify etc later, which they may not do.

Giveaways

Give something away from the stage, like a T-shirt.  If it has catchy lyrics or something that people will gravitate to, many fans may be anxious to stop by your merchandise to buy your T-shirt after the giveaways along with your music.
