Only 25% of Spotify Users Are Paying for Music

Spotify is growing fast and now has more than 60 million subscribers.  The challenge with that is only 25% of these subscribers are paying, and they are paying for discounted deals.

Two important questions to ask are…

1. What will happen when the prices go back to normal?
2. How will Apple Beats and YouTube Music Key launches impact Spotify’s growth?

Considering only 25% of Spotify subscribers are paying now for service and at discounted rates, Spotify may have a hard time convincing customers to pay the full rate.
