5 Things Your Fans Want to See on Your Website

If you want to turn visits to your website into music sales, subscribers and social shares, it’s important that your website provides exactly what your visitors expect to find.

Do you know what fans are looking for when coming to your website?  If you don’t keep reading…

1) Your Best Music–  Make your best music very easy to find. If people have to do a lot of searching to find your best songs, they may just decide to leave your site to find the music they want, with less hassle.  Also, you should have a music player on your site with your best songs, but turn auto play off. Many artists have auto play on, and when a visitor comes to play a different song, it plays both the song they choose to play in addition to the one auto playing, and that can be highly annoying to your visitors.

2) Your story– Show why people should care about you and your music.  Include photos, bios etc. so that visitors can take an interest in what you offer.

3)  Your Best Videos– Don’t make fans guess which videos they should watch.  Embed a few of your best Youtube music videos on your site, and provide a link that lets visitors easily access all your other videos. Also, add a video subscribe button so your fans can be notified when you post new music videos.

4)  Your tour dates– Although it may be hard to believe, many bands don’t actually put their concert dates on their website, but rely on sites like ArtistData to list their tour dates on different social networks.  Make sure you put your concert dates on your own website!

4) Your Most Important News–  Keep your fans updated on notable events that have occurred recently with your band, and will be coming up in the future. This information should be easily accessible to your music fans on your site.
